Chuck B

September 30, 2008

I was in Raleigh a couple of weekends ago for a get together for some guitarists and other musicians and I had heard about you guys. I was told that you had some pretty good pickers in the band. So I decided to check you out when you played Saturday night in Raleigh. I have to say that my source was right. You guys were really good. I was very impressed. I have been playing for a long time and it is always great to see other accomplished musicians. The lead singer was true to form. Back up singers, needs some work, some voices were standing out too much. As a whole the sound was fantastic. Keep playing and know your talents are truly appreciated.

Mark

September 15, 2008

Hey guys, I have seen you many times in NC and other states. You guys are awesome. You sound so much like the original. One of the girls that is a back up singer, I think her name is Trish, I have noticed that she is not at every show. Which, really stinks, cause she is smokin hot. I love the part where you guys let her sing on Simple Man. She has a great voice. I'm truly hoping that she will be at the Raliegh show. Anyway, keep rockin and I'll see you in Raleigh.

Shane

September 2, 2008

Loved your concert at the cocoa expo, in Florida. (2007) I was born and raised in WVa. Proud of my roots. I have lived here since 1993. Love your show. You all keep up the good work. Cant wait to see you again. Bob Iam sorry for your loss, we lost our grandma on 10-8-07. Keep the faith for their is nothing more powerful. Luv Ya All.

Phil and JoLynn

November 13, 2007

We would like to thank you for the exellent concert in cocoa this past weekend. The keyboard player had my husband going as he is a player himself. And thank you for the play list you gave us. My husband was the man holding the little guy on his shoulders that a young man brought to your concert. He was quite the little rocker. lol
You guys are great as you quite well know. Our band had the pleasure of opening for zztop and skynard in phoenix a couple yrs back. The Voodoo Dudes. Well keep doing what your doing and thats pleasing the fans like you do.
They dont make music like this anymore.
Much Thanks
The Shepherds

Kyle

November 12, 2007

I saw your concert at the Cocoa County Fair on Saturday Night. I was completely blown away by the show, you guys are better than the actual band. Bob Long WAS Ronnie Van Zant, and everyone's musicianship was incredible. All three back-up singers were excellent as well, and did a good job of interacting with the crowd. I especially liked Joey Gillette, as I am a young drummer in a cover band, and liked his unique take on Bob Burns' and Artimus Pyle's work. Overall, great job, and I'll be seeing you guys the next time you're anywhere near here.

Lance

November 12, 2007

Wanted to say hello to all you guys all the way from Iraq to the USA. You guys are the best. I miss ya, and can not wait to see ya soon. Thanks for letting me be a part of the band. Lance

Tracy Bowden

November 8, 2007

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Angela & Ricky

November 5, 2007

We had a blast seeing you at the Ray Price Bike Rally in Raleigh. We are big Skynyrd fans and to tell the truth, the idea of a Skynyrd tribute band was a bit cheesy to me. That is, until we saw you for the first time at the 2006 Bike Rally in Raleigh. Ya'll are awesome and very true to the Skynyrd sound and tradition. We are also impressed with the way your obvious loyalty to God, family, and country. It was just a "feel good" experience! Thanks.

Tyler

Hey guys (and gals)! It was great to hear you all play and sing at the Bike Fest in Raleigh last weekend. The sound was well mixed and balanced--you sounded great! I hope Eric isn't too sore from the fall on the stage! But he was a real trooper and played all the way down and back up again and did not seem to miss a single note. He is amazing! I look forward to hearing you all again in the very near future! Your band sounds great! Don't change a thing!

Chris McCallister

I'v known Jackie for a number of years, and was able to hear you when you last played in Charlotte, NC. As far as I'm concerned, if you close your eyes and just listen, some people would be hard pressed to be abale to tell the difference between Second Helping and the actual thing!

Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was watching "Second Helping" preform in Ironton last weekend. WOW! You made my trip to Ironton worth it. You don't see that true
Heart-N-Soul much anymore, but it was there
on the stage last Friday night.
(even with the trains going by)Ha!
You should be very proud.
If you ever have the opportunity to play
in Lexington,Ky ...I know Lexington would love to have you and I would be your #1
promoter and the first in line.
Thanks Again and God Bless,
Rick Willis

August 15, 2006

Hi, like your band!

August 13, 2006

I'm terribly sorry. Mike was a giant of a man. A precious soul indeed.

August 13, 2006

Yes, I went through the same when Mike died. To this day, I am still heartbroken.
Thanks for the compliments...even with the sorrows, life has been good.
Beki

Chris McCallister

August 12, 2006

Beki...

Folks Beki was one of the first female singers the band had. She literally worked all three girls into shape. If you want to know how well she sings...listen to any Heart record. Beki sounds just like Ann Wilson (NO KIDDING!).

Bek when JD died it tore me apart. Frank and I had to do the eulogy.

I hope you have had great success. You are one of the gems!

Beki

August 12, 2006

It's been a long, long time Chris; happened upon your website by chance. So very glad to read things are going so well for you. Though I doubt I'll ever have the chance to hear the new incarnation of Second Helping, I wish you all the very best.
P.S. I was so sorry to read about J.D. Such a talent...such a loss.

Tony Stokes

July 26, 2006

I had heard you guys a while back on WRDU I think they did an interview. I am a longtime Skynyrd fan. I just came across your website. I live am born and raised in Ayden NC. I used to work in Kinston. I did not realize that you guys are from the area. All three of my sons (19,17,16) are musicians(guitar) I take them to concerts, just saw Skynyrd and 3 Doors Down at Alltel. I was wondering if you guys play locally? Thanks for doing what you guys do.

Mark

July 26, 2006

Eric Tolnes......I played with Eric in SNS and can say, as well as others have said, Eric is a guitar savant. He can play just about every lead, from every rock song, ever made. He is genuinely a great guy and a team player. I am looking forward to playing with Eric again.....hey Eric.....ROAD TRIP!

BTW - Now there are TWO YANKEE's in the band!
